Identify Vendor ID (VID) and Product ID (PID; also known as Device ID) for an informed device driver search:

• Right-clicking on an (potentially unknown) device - Properties
• Events tab - Information box
• Identify four character VID (hex digits), e.g VID_2CB7
• Identify four character PID (hex digits), e.g PID_0210
• Websites such as devicehunt.com allow you to search for a hardware device by using VID and PID
• Use identified device name to search for device driver
